DCO Production Falls on Lower Ethanol Ouput

Spot trading in the distiller’s corn oil (DCO) market was broadly higher today, although there was a trade at a lower price into the Manly, IA market. Most of the action today was in the 42 – 43 cts/lb FOB range, with some volume done as high as 43.75 cts/lb FOB Illinois/Wisconsin. Trading was done in the forward market at lower than last reported prices, but in line with today’s spot market.

Edible tallow traded lower on a Chicago basis at 54 cts/lb. Max 20% ffa tallow was indicated in a range of 42-43 cts/lb delivered US Gulf, with offers heard at 44 cts/lb and above for nearby delivery.
