Slaughter volumes and hide demand remain unchanged from the week prior.
Despite the strong pressure to drop green fresh hides to around Arg$20/kg (about US$0.02), good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers remained unchanged from last week at about US$0.65/kg.

In March, slaughter totaled 1.05 million head, which was up 1% from February but down 19% year on year.
Currently, rawhide supply is stable to last week, especially at frigorificos working for export. Frigorificos supplying for domestic consumption have seen a reduction. Green raw hides prices are quoting with a downward trend of about Arg$10~15/kg.
Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers were unchanged from last week at about US$0.65/kg.
