Benefits of potential cannabis rescheduling yet unclear

There are significant implications to the to the potential rescheduling of cannabis by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The DEA announced on April 30 that it would begin the rulemaking process to reschedule cannabis to align with the Department of Health and Human Series (HHS) recommendations.

Industry-wide, there has been rampant speculation about what the policy move will mean for various segments of the pan-cannabis sector. Even though hemp is separately defined and theoretically discrete from recreational and medical MJ, there are some potential benefits for these operators.
