US weekly average ethanol production fell to 1.11 million barrels per day in the week to November 15, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report on Wednesday November 20. This marked a decrease of 3,000 barrels per day from the previous week but an increase of 8.5% year on year.
Ethanol stocks were reported at 22.56 million barrels, up by 524,000 barrels week on week and by 4.2% year on year.
Demand for corn decreased by 0.3% from the previous week but up by 8.5% year on year. Approximately 16.44 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.
Livestock feed production totaled 118,702 tonnes in the week to Friday. Distillers’ dried grain (DDG) production accounted for 105,570 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 11,080 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,052 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
