Fifteen cars of packer BFT traded up to $0.2800 Chicago this afternoon. Tech tallow moved higher as well, trading at $0.3200 Chicago. 

Hog slaughter finished the holiday-interrupted week at an estimated 1.9 million head, up 5.9% from the same week last year. The higher slaughter rates compared to 2017 look to continue in the coming weeks. The next six weeks are forecast at an average of 4.1% above 2017 or 2.34 million head per week. Weights are…
