The early US hide offer list appears unchanged with relatively large volumes and prices mostly not much different from last week. Buyer interest appears tentative with a few testing the water with bids at prices several dollars below previous trading levels. The expectation of continued large slaughter numbers and no change for leather demand in the near term has many in the trade bracing for another tough week for the hide market.
