It was a very hot week in most of the US, but temperatures were not warm enough to do anything to heat up the chilled hide market last week. Down pressure continued with prices off a dollar or more for many selections with and the Jacobsen Hide Index closing down $1.47 on Friday at $42.63 from $43.76 a week ago. Big packer HNS traded from $59 to $60 (close to steady), HTS was at $41, BS from $39 to $40, BBS at $49 and HBH from $28 to $31 FOB…
