Activity is quiet for the US hide suppliers this week with onset of the Lunar New Year holiday sidelining much of the Asia hide markets. To highlight the importance of this holiday for US hide and blue suppliers, last year’s kill was 31,699,337 head and total cured and wet blue shipments were 27,949,701 (88.17% of the kill).
