Steady and a little quiet continues for the US hide market with a few of the early offers list out at similar prices and volumes. Despite large kills to start out the new year and follow through production expected to remain high through the quarter, producers appear to have decent forward-sold positions. Storms in the Central Midwest river area closed several packing plants on Monday, but some of the production will be made up on Saturday.
