Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
The July 4th Independence Day holiday week was on the quiet side for the US hide market with trading from steady to a dollar lower. Packer HNS reported for $66, BBS from $64 to $65, HTS for $61, BS from $58 to $61 and CBS from $54 to $57 FOB plant. The Jacobsen Hide Index closed steady on Friday at $58.69 from $58.66 a week ago.
