The US hide market paused with the bulk of trading at steady prices on reduced volumes after a couple decent weeks of sales at prices lower than they have been for a long time. Producers did their best to establish a footing and refused to chase prices any lower. Big packer HNS sold for $67, BBS from $64 to $66, HTS from $60 to $64 and BS at $60.
