THE JACOBSEN NORTH AMERICAN HIDE BULLETIN

Market Activity & Analysis

The hide market activity this week was a mixed bag with most suppliers indicating they sold what they needed to but no one saying they had a huge week. Prices were a little softer with steers trading $0.50 to $1 lower and most cows holding closer to steady. Heavy Native Steers traded from $75 to $76, BBS from $72 to $74 and HTS from $68 to $70. Despite buyers signaling they wanted to pay lower prices, there was a reasonable demand.
