The hide market retracted a bit during last holiday week with several steer selections slipping around a dollar; however, a few steers and most cows managed to trade steady. There was some late business concluded on Friday that carried over to today although business in general was slower as many people predicted. Heavy Native Steers sold from $76 to $77, HTS for $70, BBS for $73 and BS for $64 FOB plant.
