The hide market over the past two holiday weeks was very quiet and uneventful with prices drifting sideways and not many hides being sold. Heavy natives sold steady for $72 to $73, butts for $70 to $71 and HTS about $65 FOB plant. Cow hides were also unchanged with the biggest pocket of interest for dairy cows out of China keeping them steady/firm.
