Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Last week the US hide market was steady/firm with some producers continuing to push for higher prices and finding spotted pockets of willing buyers, but many customers refused to pay more. With limited volumes, a few selections traded $2 to $3 higher including HTS for $66 and BS for $64.
