Hide prices are unchanged with wet salted Buenos Aries steer hides trading at around US$1.15 per kg. Some believe that this price is the bottom and have begun to create stocks at low inventory value. Tanneries have not increased their soak; therefore, this is genuine stock as the leather demand remains unchanged.
