Hide prices are continuing the downward adjustment due to large offers. Buenos Aries wet salted steers hides are trading at around US$1.15 per kg. Slaughter continues at good levels but could be affected in the short run by an agriculture strike taking place this week.

Leather demand remains unchanged, but with fewer expectations of volume business for the footwear sector.
