Overall sales are still depressed. The European market due to currency devaluation is not a big buyer, Russia is not buying, and China is quite slow. All these factors tend to lower bids on the purchase of raw hides. Wet salted hide prices continue a downward trend by about US 5 cents per kg. at $1.40-$1.60 from $1.45-$1.70 last week.
