The hide market adjusted downward last week with steer hides under greater pressure than cows. Buyers’ price ideas were lower and their confidence that they could buy lower was higher. Depending on selections, bids were from $5 to $7 lower. A couple sources reported, if they countered on any steer bids the buyers just disappeared.
