Be8, Cemvita to study glycerin-to-SAF feasibility in Brazil

Brazilian biofuels producer Be8 and US-based biotech company Cemvita signed a memorandum of understanding to study the technical and economic feasibility of converting glycerin into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), the companies announced on Tuesday January 21.

The companies will form a working group to conduct a study on the proposed bio-oil production process and to estimate the necessary investment for a glycerin-to-SAF raw material conversion plant in Brazil, according to the announcement.
