Sellers Expected to Drop Offer Prices Due to Limited Demand

Sellers reported limited interest to buy at the start of the week after slow sales last week. According to a few packers and traders in the U.S. market, sellers are expected to lower offer prices on fed steer hides by approximately $1 because of prolonged, weak demand. A source did suggest that lower offers may spark buying interest in the market ahead of tannery shutdowns for the holiday season.
