Research opportunities in hemp are endless, it seems.  Cannabis spp.  has been a difficult plant for researchers to access historically, making the process realistic only for the most dedicated researchers. They looked primarily at issues related to MJ and drug use or abuse.  The result is a brand-new agricultural commodity that has received minimal research attention for industrial uses. 

 

There is a great deal of research happening globally, and certainly in the US, where university faculty of various disciplines are afforded a new opportunity to create original, high-impact research for a developing industry.  Cannabinoids are just one aspect of the crop, and this alone provides for unlimited exploration of their potential for human health.  We have a small body of research from previous work done on the endocannabinoid system, and GW Pharma’s work to bring…
