Florida Leads the Way in CBD Safety Testing

The Jacobsen reported on Florida’s unique approach to regulating CBD in a previous Hemp Bulletin.  Florida is one of a small handful of states that has enacted legislation to regulate CBD, overseen by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).  In the April 22 Hemp Bulletin, we noted that, “The safety issues germane to CBD are a dark cloud hovering over the fledgling markets.”  With so little oversight or random, independent analysis, the risk for contaminants in hemp extracts is high.
