Slaughter continues steadily while demand for fresh raw hides continues to be weak.

The export tariff rate exception on raw hides will end this next weekend. Some associations are continuing to ask for the extension of the measure, but there is no news at this time.

Some tanneries are encouraged to pay a few pesos (US$1 = 100 Arg $) for fresh frigorifico’s hides, which is odd given the large supply of raw fresh and salted hides.

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers prices and demand continue to be unchanged. Prices continue quoting around US$0.04 per kg.
