Happy Veterans Day to Hemp Bulletin readers!  Most of the “Greatest Generation”, those that battled axis power in WW2 are deceased, though not all.  They’re a reminder that the world we live in can shift to horrific extremes, particularly when people have their backs against the wall economically, and charismatic leaders expertly tap into their fears.  It happened in Europe eight or so decades ago, and a resurgence of nationalism and outright xenophobia is sweeping that continent now, keeping pace with similar shifts in the US.

Veterans from conflicts in Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Somalia, Pre-911 Gulf War, Post 911 Gulf War, and Afghanistan add to the millions on the roles of Veteran Affairs, see population chart below:
