near Medford, the monthly programs are a unique resource for Rogue Valley hemp growers.  Jones oversees ongoing research trials with different hemp varieties at the station. 

Jones prefaced the invited panel of speakers with an overview of the 2021 season.  He presented a chart illustrating the steep drop in acreage over three growing seasons in Oregon.  The growers remaining after two years of market contraction are a capable, committed bunch, some of whom joined last night’s panel. He also showed the dire state of reservoir levels, some of which are only 2% full, and the best ones barely into double digit percentages.
