Last week we reported on the revised cannabis banking bill, the SAFER Banking Act, bound for the Senate Banking Committee.  The bill was cosponsored by Senators Steve Daines (R-MT) and Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR).  Committee Chair Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) spoke at the outset of a September 27 meeting, where the committee ultimately voted 14-9 to advance the legislation.
