Heavy Texas Steer Hides Trade Lower

Hide sellers reported steer trades on Tuesday that wrapped up yesterday at levels steady to current prices. The sales were for butt branded, branded and heavy native steers. Sellers reported a good volume of business was booked through these sales.

Heavy Texas steers traded $1 down from last traded levels. Branded hides remained under negative price pressure from shoe tanners. Hide sellers will release this week’s offer list tonight, which is expected to bring more business over the course of the week.
