Midweek trading was limited while hide buyers and sellers negotiated prices. Material that was traded was down from yesterday’s levels by $0.50-1.50 on steer hides and branded cow hides. 

Chinese tanners were actively bidding roughly $1-2 lower from last reported levels. The material that held the most interest was branded steer hides. Shoe tanners were looking for good volumes of branded material.

More sales are expected to take place tomorrow.
