Federal Reserve Actions Key to Persistent Organic Demand

Fastmarkets/The Jacobsen continues to hear that activity in the organic grain markets is light. Most of the bids – that are attempting to find price discovery – are much lower than offers coming from merchants and growers. The organic markets will need to continue to see demand from shoppers at supermarkets for prices to remain robust. There are few signs that consumers are slowing their spending on discretionary items, but economic data is pointing to a slowdown.
