Canada’s Position in Global Hempseed Markets

Canada’s role in U.S. hempseed markets is made abundantly clear in the chart below.  Supplying over 90 percent of U.S. hempseed demand, Canadian operators have done an enviable job securing market share in global hempseed markets.

Canadian hempseed exports increased 10 percent year on year in 2022. 2023 is also expected to reflect similar growth, but December trade data is not yet available.
