Ruminant, porcine bloodmeal prices drop week on week

Prices for animal proteins were mostly flat in the week to Friday June 7 due to sluggish trade levels. The only products to show price movement were ruminant and porcine bloodmeal. Market participants said downward pressure was noted due to lackluster demand in the Central and Midwest US.

Fastmarkets assessed the weekly average of bloodmeal, porcine, fob Iowa/Missouri/Nebraska at $956 per short ton for week to June 7. This is down 8.08% from the weekly average of $1,040 per ton in the prior week.

Fastmarkets assessed the weekly average of bloodmeal, porcine, fob Indiana at $1,145 per ton for week to Friday, down 6.53% from the weekly average of $1,225 per ton in the week to June 1.

Fastmarkets assessed the weekly average of bloodmeal, ruminant, fob Missouri River at $895 per ton for week to June 7. This is down 3.24% from the weekly average of $925 per ton in the week to June 1.
