US weekly average ethanol production reached 1.111 million barrels per day in the week to Friday December 27, according to the US Energy Information Administration report released Thursday January 2. This marked an increase of 4,000 bpd from the previous week and 5.9% year on year.
Ethanol stocks were reported at 23.639 million barrels, up by 565,000 barrels week on week and by 0.25% year on year.
Demand for corn increased by 0.4% from the previous week and by 5.9% year on year. Approximately 16.46 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.
Livestock feed production totaled 118,809 tonnes in the week to Friday. Distillers’ dried grain (DDG) production accounted for 105,665 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 11,090 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,054 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
