Steer Hides Under Pressure

Steer hide prices are under pressure, dropping $0.50-$2 on particular items. Interest for cow hides continues, driven by the upholstery leather market. A few auto manufacturers have shut down due to short supply of microchips. This has caused a slowdown for the auto tanners as well. Fed Branded Cows traded at a slight decrease from two weeks ago with 64/68 lbs. trading at $20.50.
