last year on Bast Fibre Technologies’ (BFT) collaboration with Georgia Pacific to produce hemp-based disposable wipes.  Disposable wipes are a big seller in the nonwoven industry, an industry that is experiencing rapid change due to increasing awareness of the impacts of single-use plastics on the environment.  Consumer demand is also a contributing factor, and these are closely aligned with corporate trends to reduce carbon footprints and seek alternatives to plastics.
