Carryover trading from the week was called steady to from Friday’s close, except for packer regular weight heavy Texas steers, which traded $1 higher than Friday.
Last week, negotiations were difficult between buyers and sellers as buyers were firm on lower than current market price levels. Some business was able to be wrapped up Monday while others passed on the offer price.
Business is expected to be minimal with Revolution Day, a holiday in Mexico today, and the Thanksgiving holiday break for the US on Thursday. 
Contacts have communicated that hides coming from recent slaughter production are getting heavier in weight, with the progression into the winter season.
