October US soybean crush jumps 15% month on month; corn consumption up 3%

US soybean crush climbs above monthly, yearly levels
Soybeans crushed for crude oil totaled 216 million bushels in October, up by 15.7% from September and up by 7.2% from October 2023, according to the USDA’s Fats and Oils: Oilseed Crushing, Production, Consumption and Stocks report released on Monday December 2.

Crude oil production totaled 2.57 billion lb, up by 16% month on month and up by 8% year on year.
