Cattle Slaughter Forecasted Lower For The Holiday Week

Noon CST Trade Reporting Deadline Wednesday/No Bulletin Thursday or Friday

The Jacobsen requests all trades reported by noon CST on Wednesday, November 24. Publication of the North American Hide Bulletin/Price Guide will follow shortly after the close.

The offices of The Jacobsen will be closed Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Daily North American Hide Bulletin will not be published on those days. Normal publication schedule will resume on Monday.

 

The US hide market had a quiet tone ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in the US. Trading activity is expected to be slower this week and would pick up after the weekend.

For the week ending November 27th, 2021, cattle slaughter is forecasted at 570,000 head, a 1.1 percent increase from 2020, a 15.8 percent drop from the previous week due to the…
