 2021 Business Summit wrapped up today in Washington, D.C.  The conference attracted a novel cross-section of attendees with some involved in hemp cultivation and processing, but largely attended by those in ancillary services, advocacy, university research, federal agencies, or lobbying.  

We attended the NIHC inaugural conference in Portland, OR in the summer of 2019, where we connected with an impressive group of bankers, attorneys, public policy wonks, and private capital firms, among the mélange of professionals in attendance.  The number of DC veterans was noteworthy. 

DC wasn’t a random venue chosen for NIHC’s return to an in-person conference format this week, after a 2-year pandemic hiatus.   Several guest speakers were zoomed in from a remote…
